Juan was born in Madrid, is from Madrid and lives in Madrid. Years before finishing high school, advertising was already in his mind as something to dedicate time and effort to after Selectividad. He studies Advertising & PR at the URJC. And also, he spends many hours filling his head with advertising and creativity.
Once he finished his degree, he decided to take the Advertising Creativity Course at The Atomic Garden. There he learns a lot about creativity and much more. In the end, he discovers that he doesn’t want to work on creativity. Planning and strategy appealed him more than anything else.
After thinking more about it, in 2018 he enters Superunion (today Design Bridge & Partners). There he discovers branding and brand consulting, working for clients such as Vodafone, Cepsa or ICBC Argentina. These were years of learning the “whats”, “hows” and “whys” of brand strategy. At this stage, he also took the Strategic Planning and Innovation Course at The Atomic Garden, which broadened his vision of the world of strategy in many, many ways.
Later, he has the opportunity to continue learning at Grávita, where he undergoes a branding “intensive course”, testing himself and getting to know himself better as a strategist. Working hand in hand with the design team helps him to better understand how to bring all the strategic thinking down to earth.
His last professional stage until today is Picnic. Here, the feeling of learning and professional growth has increased exponentially, thanks to projects beyond brand strategy and brand management for clients such as Mahou San Miguel, Pascual, LALIGA or Santander. He has the chance to do it always with very diverse teams and professionals, being able to deepen each project as never before.
Also, during this time, has returned to The Atomic Garden, but this time as a teacher. Together with his colleague and friend Maria, he teaches classes to help students begin to understand what all this brand strategy is about.
Outside the office, branding is still present in his life, because it’s also a hobby for him. Apart from brands, he loves writing, photography (he spends more time looking at photos than taking them), and above all, he likes to like things. His head is a chain of obsessions: from geopolitical podcasts he jumps to Tyler the Creator, and from there to Sorrentino, or to football jerseys, or to hang out on a terrace, or to buy retro brooches, or to think about the next roadtrip he’d like to take around Spain.
Within his routine (and as a faithful defender of routines), tea is always there, as well as listening to music on Youtube, having toast with oil for breakfast, running (less routine than it should be), and forgetting what he is going to say as he speaks.
